This start up guide for Barracuda model BC-10, when used in conjunction with the user manual, will help you get your stun gun ready for use.

Once you have opened the box, you should have four items:  

1.  Stun Gun

2.  Stun Gun Holster

3.  Safety/Disable Pin

4.  Manual

   If you are missing any one of the four items, contact the authorized retailer you purchased the stun gun from before proceeding.

INSERTING BATTERIES:

     To access the battery compartment, push and slide the bottom piece out in the direction of the arrow. 

 Attach two Energizer 9-volt alkaline batteries and place them into the stun gun.

Replace the bottom piece by sliding it in the opposite direction of the arrow.

Insert the safety/disable pin into the pin hole located at the bottom of the stun gun.  The stun gun will not work unless the safety/disable pin is in.  Make sure that it is pushed all the way in.

In order to help make the safety/disable pin effective, wear the wrist loop as pictured when using the stun gun.

The purpose of the toggle trigger is to activate the stun gun.  By pressing down on the toggle trigger, the stun gun will fire, only when the safety/disable pin is inserted and when the safety on/off switch is in the middle or up position.  Never test fire the stun gun for more than one second.  Doing so can damage the stun gun and void the warranty.

There are three different positions for the safety on/off switch:

1.  Off (down)

2.  Stun Gun Only (middle)

3.  Stun Gun and Alarm (up)

In the off position, the stun gun and alarm will not work when the toggle trigger is pushed.

In the middle position, only the stun gun will work will work when the toggle trigger is pressed down.

In the top position, the alarm will be activated even if the toggle trigger is not pressed.  However, pressing down on the toggle trigger will activate the stun gun even while the alarm is activated.
